OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has addressed the challenges surrounding the rollout of GPT-5, TechCrunch.com reported. He said user feedback and technical issues have prompted the company to reconsider certain steps.
Altman announced that the GPT-4o model will be reinstated, as some users preferred specific features it offered over GPT-5.
He also spoke about what he called the “chart crime” — acknowledging that some charts shown during the GPT-5 presentation were misinterpreted.
According to Altman, the goal is to develop all models in a balanced way while delivering the best possible experience to users.
He added that while GPT-5 is already highly capable, it will continue to be updated based on user feedback.
