Neural networks falsify the world of love

Online dating already seemed complicated, and now artificial intelligence makes it even more confusing. Users are increasingly realizing that they are not talking to real people, but to “perfect” messages generated by neural networks.

For example, 27-year-old Vindya Tajeshwar from India noticed AI involvement when messaging through Hinge: the messages seemed overly formal and artificial. She is not alone: many users are concerned that AI is now acting as a third party in conversations.

Research shows that nearly a quarter of single people are already using AI assistance in dating apps. Generation Z is especially active — nearly half of this group admits to relying on technology.

Some see this as a convenience. For instance, business consultant Wendy Anderson says her profile created with ChatGPT appeared more lively and sincere. However, others believe that this approach removes the most important element — authenticity. After all, small mistakes, awkward pauses, or simple emojis also make a conversation feel natural.

At the same time, some companies are going even further: new services promise that AI will not only help create bios but also match suitable partners and book dates. Officials believe that algorithms understand people better than they understand themselves.
