Monkey brain now modeled on supercomputer

Chinese scientists have succeeded in modeling the functioning of a monkey's brain using a supercomputer called the "Darwinian Monkey" (Wukong). This system consists of 2 billion neurons and 100 billion synapses, consuming only 2000 W of energy.

Wukong is one of the largest neuromorphic computers in the world. Its capabilities allow for the artificial reconstruction of the structure of the biological brain and the analysis of complex nerve signals.

This approach not only contributes to the development of artificial intelligence, but also opens up wide opportunities for in-depth study of the human brain and neurological diseases. Through this, researchers hope for in-depth analysis of diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
