Rainbow Six Siege servers hit again'ldi

Bad news for anyone planning to spend the weekend in tactical firefights in Rainbow Six Siege: hopes that the pre-New Year server scandal was over have not come true. Things seemed to calm down, but it turned out to be only a short pause before another attack — and this time the “gifts” are even worse than free currency. This is reported by playground.rureports.

Players are widely reporting a new wave of hacks in Ubisoft’s shooter. They claim hackers have found a way to lock legitimate users’ accounts: victims receive a notification stating they’ve been banned for exactly 67 days under “Harassment Offense” (Excessively aggressive behavior). The number 67 is not random either — it’s being interpreted as a reference to the community’s popular “6-7” meme.

Among the victims are not only regular players but also well-known media personalities. Popular streamer and content creator VarsityGaming openly said that when he logged in, he saw the same type of lock on his account.

The issue is also confirmed by the status on the official Ubisoft Service Status portal. Outages are affecting all platforms — PC and consoles: authentication, matchmaking, and the in-game store have almost stopped working. On the R6Fix bug-report site, more than 1,200 complaints have been logged, and the issue has been marked “critical.”

Recall that Rainbow Six Siege has been unstable for about two weeks. On December 27, the situation escalated when hackers interfered with the game system, credited users with 2 billion credits, and left insulting messages in system logs addressed to Ubisoft employees and company CEO Yves Guillemot. At the time, the developers promised “thorough tests” and to ensure account integrity, but today’s situation shows the security hole still hasn’t been closed.
