Looking at the dynamics of recent years, the mass increased by 12 grams when moving from iPhone 15 Pro to 16 Pro, and by another 7 grams from 16 Pro to 17 Pro.

Thus, the difference between the iPhone 17 Pro and the upcoming 18 Pro models is expected to be only 5 grams, which is almost imperceptible during daily use. However, the weight change in the Pro Max version, the largest representative of the line, will be much more significant.

Why is the iPhone 18 Pro Max getting heavier?

In the case of the iPhone 18 Pro Max model, the weight is expected to jump from 233 grams (iPhone 17 Pro Max) to 249 grams. This figure represents a sharp increase of 16 grams at once and is considered the most significant weight gain between recent generations.
