Design tool Dessn raises $6 million in funding

With the development of artificial intelligence technologies, next-generation design tools such as Visual Electric, Weavy, Flora, and Krea are gaining popularity. These platforms allow design teams to quickly test ideas and perform iterations. Now, the startup Dessn, operating in this field, has announced that it has raised $6 million in funding. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

According to Dessn founders Gabriella Hachem and Nim Cheema, design tools that do not work directly with the codebase create limitations in developing new features. The technology developed by the company allows startups to run their codebases in a cloud environment without any configuration costs. This significantly simplifies the process for designers to hand off their work to developers.

Currently, companies such as Color, Wispr, and Mercury are using Dessn's services. This investment round, led by Connect Ventures, also saw participation from Betaworks and N49P. The founders emphasize that, unlike Lovable or Vercel's v0 tools, Dessn is designed for teams working with an existing codebase rather than creating ideas from scratch.

The main advantage of the Dessn platform is that it does not require users to completely change their existing workflows. Designers can use Dessn's capabilities for specific projects without giving up tools like Figma. It was also noted that sharing links created through the platform is much more convenient than using Cursor or Claude Code tools.
