Google introduces an AI agent ecosystem for users

At its latest I/O conference, Google unveiled a brand new way to use the internet: AI agents. This technology is an AI-enhanced version of the legacy Google Alerts service, operating 24/7 in the background. The agents are designed to provide users with constant updates on topics of interest, such as market trends, price tracking, or severe weather alerts. This is reported by Techcrunch.com .
The company also introduced a "personal" AI agent called Google Spark. It helps organize your digital life by integrating with products like Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Workspace. Spark performs tasks such as extracting key topics from notifications, tracking home inventories, and even planning trips with friends. For Android users, the Android Halo feature is being introduced to keep track of these notifications.
The Gemini app is also being enriched with new capabilities. It now prepares personalized daily reports called Daily Brief based on data from Gmail, Calendar, and Tasks. Even the Chrome browser is becoming "smarter," for example, by interacting with the user during a car purchase process to help select various configurations without using a keyboard.
For now, most of these innovations will only be available to Gemini Ultra subscribers. Google plans to test the technology through these "AI enthusiasts" who pay $100 per month. According to company representatives, Spark and other agent features will eventually be made available to free users, but for now, the focus is on expanding capabilities within the paid subscription.
