Russia launches new spacecraft stand at Vostochniy
In brief

Russia has launched a new stand for servicing and preparing the next-generation crewed transport spacecraft (PTK NP) at the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The stand, installed in the spacecraft assembly and testing building, is designed to prepare the return vehicle for flight, incorporating all necessary engineering systems, including lifting mechanisms and fuel supply lines. This infrastructure aims to support future crewed and cargo missions to Earth orbit, with plans to use Angara rockets for launching not only satellites and scientific equipment but also modules for a Russian orbital station and crew transport.

Installation of a stand for the maintenance and preparation of the return vehicle of the next-generation manned transport spacecraft (PTK NP) has been completed at the Vostochny Cosmodrome. This was announced by the Center for the Operation of Space Ground-Based Infrastructure (TsENKI). Ixbt.com reports on this.

The stand was installed in the spacecraft assembly and testing building. It is designed to prepare the return vehicle for flight and includes all necessary engineering systems.

These include lifting mechanisms, refueling lines, control systems, and systems for the supply of gas, liquids, and electricity.

The creation of such infrastructure is linked to future manned and cargo missions to Earth orbit. It was previously reported that "Angara" rockets are planned to launch not only satellites and scientific equipment into orbit, but also modules for the Russian Orbital Station and the PTK NP, which is intended to deliver crews to the station.
