Missed your pension? You have 24 months to claim it
The Pension Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced important changes in the law regarding unclaimed pension payments, reports UPL.uz.
Citizens now have the right to collect pension funds that were accrued but not received for a longer period.

According to the new law, the time frame for receiving unpaid pensions has been extended from 12 months to 24 months.

For example, if you were abroad for two years and couldn’t receive your pension during that time, you are now fully entitled to claim all of the missed payments upon returning to Uzbekistan. The payments will be calculated from the date the pension was stopped.

To reclaim unpaid pensions, citizens need to contact their local district or city branches of the Pension Fund.
