Another case of illegal use of state resources has been recorded in Tashkent region. This time the incident occurred in the Qibray and Oqqorgon districts. Issues related to gas supply and the resulting economic losses are attracting widespread attention. Especially the illegal actions by individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities towards state-owned natural resources are causing serious public concern.
According to “Hududgazta’minot” JSC, during the inspection of one of the non-residential buildings located in Qibray district, it was found that a large amount of natural gas had been used illegally. This situation occurred in the Salar neighborhood, where citizen Sh.A. had organized a tile production workshop in the building. His workshop was directly connected to the gas network without any project-technical documentation.
As a result of the analysis carried out through the electronic calculation system, it was determined that material damage in the amount of 955 million 583 thousand soums was caused to the state gas supply company. This is considered not only an economic loss but also a serious risk from a safety perspective. Because illegal connections to gas networks not only constitute a violation of the law but also increase the risk of fire or explosion.
At the same time, a similar case was discovered in the Oqqorgon district. When a bakery belonging to the private enterprise “R.Q.” located in the “Usta Nurmat” neighborhood was inspected, it was also found to be connected to the gas network without proper documentation. Calculations revealed that this business entity had caused 946 million 080 thousand soums in damage to the state.
In both cases, the amount of damage identified by gas supply organizations totaled nearly 1.9 billion soums. These figures alone show the scale of the problem.
Connecting to underground or above-ground gas networks without the necessary documentation is not only looting of state resources but also seriously affects public safety, environmental stability, and the continuous operation of the energy system.
Unfortunately, such incidents are not unique in Tashkent region. Despite regular raids, audits, and control measures carried out by relevant organizations, some entrepreneurs still try to bypass the laws and regulations.
A legal assessment of these cases by law enforcement agencies is expected. Such illegal activities by entrepreneurs may lead not only to fines but, in some cases, to criminal liability.
Therefore, specialists and state authorities call on all business entities to operate within the law, to formalize all project-technical documentation and licenses, and to carry out connections to gas and electricity supply only through specialists.
Because behind actions seemingly taken for the sake of “not getting involved” or “quick profit” lie significant financial losses, life-threatening consequences, and legal liability. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
