Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Xi Jinping reached important agreements in Beijing

Following the meetings and negotiations between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, a ceremony was held in Beijing to exchange important documents signed between the two countries. This ceremony became noteworthy as it opened a new page in relations between the two countries.

It should be noted that among the most important documents, a cooperation program aimed at harmonizing the "Uzbekistan-2030" Strategy with the "One Belt, One Road" initiative was signed. The heads of state also approved an agreement on the creation of cultural centers and an agreement on cooperation in the field of medical services.

In addition, important agreements were reached within the framework of the visit, covering a number of areas. Including:

- Development of the second stage of the project for the supply of modern dredgers (technical vessels) to Uzbekistan;

- expansion of technical and economic cooperation;

- joint work in the field of conformity assessment of products and services;

- Agreement on compliance with phytosanitary requirements when supplying melons and almonds from Uzbekistan to China;

- development of peaceful use of space sciences and technologies;

- strengthening of competition policy;

- strengthening cooperation in the field of human resource development;

- expansion of partnership in the field of the digital economy;

- Establishing fraternal and partnership relations between the Samarkand region and the city of Tianjin;

- Establishing joint cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

Thus, these agreements, signed in Beijing, will not only bring economic and cultural ties between the two countries to a new level, but will also play an important role in regional cooperation.
