The working visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China has ended. During the visit, the head of state participated in many international and bilateral events.
On August 31, the president, together with his wife, joined the informal part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit at the Meijiang Convention Center in Tianjin.
On September 1, he participated in the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO and discussions in the "SCO Plus" format, putting forward a number of proposals and initiatives to strengthen multifaceted cooperation and make the organization's work more effective.
On September 2, official talks were held with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in Beijing. As a result of the meeting, a number of important documents were signed aimed at further deepening practical cooperation between the two countries.
On the same day, Mirziyoyev also held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed current aspects of mutual relations. He also held fruitful meetings with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, heads of a number of foreign delegations, and representatives of large business circles.
On September 3, the head of state attended the solemn Victory Parade in Beijing to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
After the visit program was completed, the president and the official delegation left for Tashkent. The high-ranking guests were warmly welcomed by Chinese state officials.
