
According to the National Statistics Committee, 664.6 thousand live births were registered in Uzbekistan in January-September 2025. Of these, 343.6 thousand were boys (51.7%), and 321 thousand were girls (48.3%).
319.3 thousand births were registered in urban areas (48%), and 345.3 thousand in rural areas (52%). This means that there are an average of 23.5 births per thousand people in the country.
According to statistics, the number of births in 2025 decreased slightly compared to last year. In particular, 29.3 thousand fewer children were born compared to the same period in 2024. Compared to 2023, this difference is 52.3 thousand.
As of October 1, 2025, the population exceeded 38 million 69 thousand people. Experts note that the natural change in the number of births in the country is associated with urbanization processes, family planning, and socio-economic factors.
