U.S. President Donald Trump announced the signing of a major trade and economic agreement with Uzbekistan. Trump reported this on his social media page.
According to him, over the next three years, Uzbekistan will invest about $35 billion in key U.S. sectors — in particular, critical minerals, aviation, automotive parts, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, chemicals, and information technology. In addition, over the next ten years, this figure is expected to exceed $100 billion.
In his statement, Trump referred to Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev as a “highly respected state leader” and expressed his gratitude to him. He noted that he looks forward to long-term and productive cooperation between the two countries.
This agreement is expected to mark a new stage in the development of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and the United States.
