Water supply will be temporarily limited in Tashkent

Tashkent residents will face temporary cold water cuts and lower pressure in parts of the city as utility crews carry out scheduled repair and maintenance work. The measures are also part of preparations to strengthen the engineering network ahead of the spring and summer season in 2026, according to JSC Toshkent shahar suv taminoti. Reports Uzdaily.uz.
The restrictions will be introduced in stages from March 30 to May 12. Areas expected to be affected include mahallas and residential zones in Uchtepa, Shaykhantakhur, Yashnabad, Mirzo Ulugbek, Sergeli, Yakkasaray, Chilanzar, Almazar, Yunusabad, Bektemir, Yangihayot and Mirabad districts.
Under the schedule, separate mahallas in Uchtepa and Shaykhantakhur will see outages from March 30 to March 31. From March 31 to April 1, the limits will extend to Yashnabad and Mirzo Ulugbek, where pressure is also expected to drop in some neighborhoods. From April 1 to April 3, works will continue in Yakkasaray, Chilanzar and Sergeli.
The largest phase is planned for April 6 to April 8, when many mahallas and social facilities in Mirzo Ulugbek, Yashnabad, Bektemir, Sergeli, Yangihayot and Mirabad are expected to be affected. In the following days, phased shutdowns will continue in Yunusabad, Chilanzar, Almazar and several other parts of the capital, including schools, clinics and other public institutions.
The company said stable water supply across all affected districts is expected to be restored by mid May. Residents have been urged to prepare water reserves in advance and treat the temporary inconvenience with understanding.
