A vehicle license in Uzbekistan is now issued for a period of 5 years

In Uzbekistan, a certificate of official registration of a motor vehicle will now be issued with a validity period of 5 years. This was established by a government resolution signed on March 30.
It should be noted that the current "technical passports" only indicate the date of issue, but the validity period was not specified in the previous regulations. That is, the new resolution clearly sets the validity period of certificates at 5 years.
There is no exact information yet about the amount of the fee for renewing a certificate after its expiration: whether a new fee will be established or the current fee will be applied is still an open question.
For your information, starting from 2024, the registration and re-registration fee for all vehicles, except electric cars, motorcycles and trailers, was set at 6.84 times the base calculation amount. Previously, this figure was 0.1 times.
The new procedures provide greater clarity, convenience and a guarantee of a modern validity period for car owners.
