Increase in military pensions: Draft law adopted by the Oliy Majlis

The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis adopted the draft law "On state pension provision for military personnel (employees) and their family members" in the first reading.

This draft law is aimed at improving the procedure for providing military personnel and their families with pensions, improving the conditions, types and amounts of pensions.

According to the draft, it is proposed to increase the share of salary taken into account in calculating pensions for military personnel who have served for more than 30 years from 75 percent to 100 percent. It is also envisaged to increase the pension calculation base from 10 to 12 times.

The purpose of the document is to encourage military personnel who have served for many years, strengthen their social protection and increase the attractiveness of military service.

The adoption of the law will help form unified and stable mechanisms in the pension provision system, the deputies noted.
