Israel has begun issuing "souvenir bracelets" to Palestinian prisoners
The Israeli Prison Service has begun issuing special bracelets to Palestinian prisoners being released under a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, Israeli television reported.

They feature an identification number, as well as the phrases in Hebrew and Arabic, "The people will never forget" and "I will pursue my enemies and overtake them."

It was not clear when the bracelets began to be issued to the released Palestinians.

On January 19 of this year, Ynet published a video showing Hamas giving “souvenirs” to freed Israeli hostages Emily Damari and Romy Gonen. The gifts included a map of the Gaza Strip, “certificates of freedom,” and photographs of the women from their captivity.

On January 30, Hamas handed over eight hostages — three Israelis and five Thais — to the Red Cross. Israel released 110 Palestinian prisoners in exchange.

Among those released was Agam Berger, a 20-year-old Israeli soldier who had been held captive for 482 days. Arbel Yahud, 29, and Gadi Mozes, 80, were also released. Yahud's wife and brother remain in captivity.

Of the 110 Palestinian prisoners, 32 were serving life sentences and 48 were serving long-term sentences. Two were 15-year-olds and 30 were under 18. Of the released prisoners, 21 are due to be deported abroad.

Israel and Hamas agreed to cease fire in the Gaza Strip from January 19. Since then, the two sides have been exchanging hostages and prisoners every week. According to the terms of the agreement, Hamas must release three prisoners, and 14 prisoners on the 42nd day of the ceasefire. In response, Israel promised to release more than 1,850 Palestinian prisoners.

The parties are also discussing the parameters of the next stages of the ceasefire.
