The investigation into the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow has been completed. This was reported by Oleg Vlasov, a lawyer for one of the accused, TASS reports.

According to the lawyer, the investigative actions have been completed, and the victims should be the first to familiarize themselves with the case materials. Since there are about a thousand of them, the case is not expected to go to court soon. According to the defense, the trial may begin at the end of March.

Details of the terrorist attack

The incident occurred on March 22, 2024 at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in the Moscow region. Four gunmen, all Tajik nationals, opened fire on spectators, set the building on fire, and then fled in a car.

The attack killed 145 people and injured hundreds more. It was one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in modern Russian history.

The attack was claimed by the Islamic State Khorasan Province in Afghanistan.

Detainees and investigation results

Law enforcement agencies have detained about 20 people suspected of organizing and aiding the attack, most of whom are Tajik nationals.

According to Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Russian Investigative Committee, there are 27 suspects in the case. The death toll from the attack has reached 146, with 551 injured.

Intensified measures against migration

After the incident, control over working and living conditions for migrants in Russia was tightened.
