
On April 25, a very sensational incident took place at one of Turkey's largest airports, Istanbul International Airport. As a result of various suspicions arising during the screening of passengers on a flight from the Kazakh city of Shymkent, three women - Aziza B., Dilsora A. and Firuza K. from Uzbekistan - were taken into special custody.
Initially, their luggage was thoroughly checked, but no prohibited items were detected. However, an X-ray examination conducted on a scanner confirmed the suspicions: solid objects were detected around the women's waist and genitals.
With the permission of the prosecutor's office, the suspects were taken to the hospital and underwent another X-ray examination. Indeed, it was discovered that they had gold coins secretly hidden in their genitals.
The women were subjected to a full body search in a special area under police supervision, and as a result, a total of 120 gold coins of various weights were removed from them. Total weight - 6 kilograms 28 grams.
Crime prevention and investigation groups have documented these gold and have launched an investigation into the criminal case. The investigation is currently ongoing.
