
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has placed Galina Timchenko, founder of the Meduza news outlet, and former Echo of Moscow journalist Alexander Plyushchev on the wanted list, kun.uz reported.
A criminal case was opened against Timchenko under the article on organizing activities of an “undesirable organization.” Russian authorities have designated Meduza as such.
The grounds for Plyushchev's case are currently unknown, though on June 11 he wrote in his Telegram channel: “Well, now I’m wanted too.”
Back in October 2022, Russia’s Ministry of Justice labeled Plyushchev a “foreign agent.” Since then, he has been fined several times for failing to label his materials and submit activity reports. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
