Major Grant from China to Central Asia: 1.5 Billion Yuan in Free Aid
China intends to elevate cooperation with Central Asian countries to a new level. At the “China – Central Asia” summit held in the city of Xi’an, the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, announced important initiatives aimed at regional development and improving people’s living standards.

It is noted that China will provide a total of 1.5 billion yuan (approximately 207 million US dollars) in free financial aid to five Central Asian countries. This grant will be directed towards the implementation of projects aimed at improving the quality of life in each of these countries. This confirms that China attaches great importance to sustainable development and mutually beneficial cooperation in the region.

In his speech, Xi Jinping emphasized that Beijing supports strengthening regional relations and further deepening friendly ties between peoples. To this end, China also announced its intention to allocate special quotas for training 3,000 specialists from Central Asian countries in professional development courses over the next two years.

In recent years, economic ties between China and Central Asian countries have significantly strengthened. According to official data, the volume of bilateral trade exceeded 95 billion dollars by the end of 2024.

Experts believe that such initiatives not only increase China’s geopolitical influence but also contribute to expanding the economic capabilities of Central Asian countries and lay the groundwork for new projects.

China’s free assistance strengthens mutual trust in the region and serves as a solid foundation for broad cooperation. These grants and educational initiatives are expected to lead to significant changes not only in the economy but also in the social sphere.
