On June 29, 2025, Blue Origin's latest New Shepard suborbital flight became not only a new test for space tourism but also another frontier of human power and dreams, Blue Origin reported. This time, six people from various fields — eco-activist Ellie Kuehner and her spouse, leaders of major business and transport companies, lawyers, and philanthropists — had the happiness of seeing the true reality beyond Earth's atmosphere with their own eyes.
The flight took place from the famous Corn Ranch launch site near Van Horn, Texas. Every technical and safety system of the single-stage reusable rocket worked flawlessly: the flight duration was 10–11 minutes, during which crew members experienced zero gravity, a panoramic view of the Earth, and a full sense of freedom.
The New Shepard program is capable of changing human life: the modern capsule is equipped for maximum comfort for six travelers, fully automated rescue systems, and reliable parachutes for emergencies. After 110 seconds of vertical ascent, the capsule separated from the rocket and reached an altitude of 105 kilometers. The most thrilling moment for the tourists was floating freely, watching the Earth from above, and feeling the excitement of space.
After spending almost three minutes in space, the capsule made a safe and soft landing with the help of parachutes. The NS-5 booster rocket also completed a successful autonomous landing. Thus, the harmony of safety, technology, and human dreams once again proved itself throughout the flight process.
New Shepard flights are now considered one of the most popular space journeys. The price of a tourist ticket is around $500,000, allowing a person to see the boundary between space and Earth with their own eyes. Along with the cost, the feelings and impressions from the journey are an invaluable treasure for many.
Today, thanks to the efforts of Blue Origin and other space companies, dreams are no longer just about science or fantasy — they are entering our lives. Each New Shepard flight opens new opportunities, new dreams, and a new reality.
In the future, going into space may no longer be just a dream, but a new travel destination. Traveling with New Shepard is not just a 10-minute flight, but a source of lifelong impressions and new motivation.
