A resident of the Tyumen region unexpectedly won 21 million rubles in a lottery. Interestingly, she attributes her luck to an ordinary kitten she found on the street, reports Pravilamag.ru.
According to the woman, she bought two lottery tickets completely by chance and had no expectations of winning. However, on the very same day she found out she had won, she came across a cardboard box full of abandoned kittens on the roadside. She managed to catch only one and decided to take it home.
The kitten turned out to be ginger-colored — a shade considered a symbol of luck and prosperity in Russian folk beliefs. The woman believes this new “guest” brought good fortune into her life. She named the kitten “Fart” (meaning “Luck”).
"The new creature — especially with its ginger color — supposedly brought luck into her household," lottery officials said.
The woman has not yet decided how to spend the large sum of money. One of the most likely options she mentioned is donating it to charity.
This is not the first unusual story of luck in Russia. Recently, in Chelyabinsk, a man won 100 million rubles in a lottery after his wife dreamt of a ginger-colored spider. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
