Israeli air force strikes southern Lebanon

Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out precision strikes on five areas north of the Litani River in Lebanon. According to official reports, these locations hosted suspected military sites and infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah. The attacks caused serious concern among local residents.

The local civil defense service, in a statement posted on social network “X,” reported that the airstrikes targeted the outskirts of Burguz, Jabbur, Jermak, El-Qatraniya, and El-Mahmudiya. These areas were chosen due to observed movements of Shia militants.

Witnesses said that the explosions and airstrikes damaged several homes and agricultural buildings. Rescue services and medical teams are currently operating in the affected regions, while residents are being evacuated to safe zones.

Israeli military officials stated that the strikes were aimed at ensuring border security and destroying “terrorist infrastructure.” Lebanese authorities described the action as a threat to the country’s territorial integrity. International organizations have urged both sides to avoid escalating the conflict.
