Within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit held in Tianjin, an important agreement was signed between China and Armenia. In a joint statement, it was announced that the two countries have established a strategic partnership, and it was emphasized that Taiwan is an integral part of China.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, a new stage of historical significance between the two countries began at the meeting held within the framework of the summit. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the SCO+ format meetings and met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the negotiations, the need to deepen cooperation in such areas as science, education, culture, tourism, information, and metrology was noted.
Pashinyan confirmed Armenia's interest in SCO membership and its intention to further expand cooperation in this direction. The parties agreed to strengthen joint actions and implement new projects in the SCO space.
According to information released by the Armenian government, Xi Jinping stated that China firmly supports the political independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia. China also announced its full support and support for the "World Intersection" initiative of the Armenian government and the opening and development of regional communication routes.
Thus, the summit in Tianjin opened a new page in relations between China and Armenia and laid the foundation for further strengthening of relations between the two states in the future.
