The US Supreme Court has once again backed President Donald Trump’s immigration policy. The court allowed agents in Southern California to stop and check people based on their appearance or language. This decision sparked strong protests among immigrant communities.
The ruling overturned a previous temporary restriction that had banned stopping people without “reasonable suspicion.” The Trump administration has now announced it will continue mobile patrols.
Rights advocates argue that this practice violates the constitution. According to them, citizens are being unjustly stopped because of their skin color or language. Some victims have described the process as “racism-based deportation.”
Trump’s supporters present the ruling as a “big victory.” However, California officials and rights organizations said they consider the policy illegal and will continue to oppose it.
