12 countries agreed to provide financial assistance to Palestine

Twelve countries, including France, Great Britain, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, have formed a new international coalition to support the Palestinian Authority, according to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The main goal of this donor coalition is to ensure the financial stability of Palestine, preserve the administrative system, and continue providing social services to the population.

This initiative was perceived by the Israeli government as a response to the financial crisis caused by the withholding of tax and customs revenues from Palestine.

Coalition members have pledged at least $170 million in aid to Palestine. Of this, 90 million dollars will be allocated by Saudi Arabia.

The coalition also called on Israel to immediately transfer Palestinian financial revenues and not obstruct the administration's activities.

To date, more than 150 countries have officially recognized Palestine as an independent state. This international recognition can lay the groundwork for further strengthening the Palestinian self-governance process.
