The Guinness Book of Records press service announced another stellar moment for Brazilian Juan Marino Neto: he celebrated his 113th birthday, reaffirming his status as "the oldest man on Earth." According to the report, Juan celebrated this anniversary around a large feast prepared by close relatives and friends, in a festive atmosphere.

The title was bestowed upon Netu in November of last year, following the death of its former holder, the British John Tinniswood. At the same time, Ethel Catherham, representing Great Britain, remains the oldest living person among humanity - she turned 116 years and 46 days old.

According to the Guinness, Juan Marino Netu is the last person still alive among those born in 1912. He has been married twice in his life and is the father of seven children; six of them are still healthy today. It also unites the older generation with 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Relatives say that Juan accepts the title of "oldest man" with pleasure: "There are no men older than me here, only women!" He even sent congratulations to the oldest woman in the world, celebrating her 116th birthday "remotely."

Representatives of the Book of Records emphasize that such titles are confirmed by rigorous verification, comparison of documents and sealed archives. Netu's 113-year journey demonstrates not only his personal fortune but also his respect for the memory and values of the older generation.
