Hundreds freeze in the mountains

In the Hindu Kush mountains, a severe snowstorm left hundreds of tourists stranded. On the Tibetan side of Mount Everest, one person died, while others suffered from the cold.

Heavy rain and snow avalanches were also reported in Nepal. According to official data, dozens of people died in floods during the past week. The failure of communication systems made rescue operations difficult.

Experts link this situation to the prolonged monsoon season. Now, rainfall continues until October, and the weather is becoming increasingly unstable.

Scientists note that global warming is causing these changes. The collision of warm and cold air currents is leading to powerful storms in the mountains.
