Three-year-old Cody James Williams, a resident of Michigan, became known throughout the country as a hero. He saved his mother's life and showed courage that adults can follow, writes The Guardian.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the woman suffered a severe epileptic seizure. Seeing his mother's condition, younger Cody, without hesitation, took action. He didn't lose his composure in this situation because he had seen his mother suffer from this illness before.
The child took his mother's phone, held it to his face, unlocked it, and called 911. Although this is unusual for a three-year-old, he was able to assess the situation correctly. In a few minutes, an ambulance arrived and saved her mother's life.
The head of the local police department, Michael Buschard, held a special press conference after the incident. He called the boy a "junior deputy" and presented him with a symbolic police badge. Bushard noted that Cody was a true example of courage and quick thinking.
"This event was a big lesson for every parent. We have once again realized how important it is to teach children how to act correctly in emergency situations," said the police chief.
Currently, Cody and his mother are feeling well. Neighbors and the local community congratulated them and nicknamed the boy "hero boy." And Cody, not yet fully aware of the enormous significance of what he had done, his courage warmed hearts throughout the country.
