Great news for astronomy enthusiasts! Russians will be able to observe a unique celestial phenomenon as early as the beginning of November. This was stated by Yevgeny Burmistrov, an expert in astronomy at the Perm Polytechnic, in an interview with Gazeta.Ru.
Comet C/2025 A6, known as Lemmon, will reach its maximum point of approach to the Sun on November 8. At this time, its brightness ranges from four and a half to five stars, which makes it possible to see the space object with the naked eye.
"This scale is based on the principle that "the higher the number, the dimmer the object." However, in practice, the "guest" exceeded expectations, and at the end of October, his indicator reached fourth place. "Such a result allows us to see it as a dim spot in a completely dark sky, and for viewers with binoculars, it manifests itself in all its beauty," noted Evgeny Burmistrov.
According to the expert, it is better to observe a comet in the western part of the sky after sunset, that is, in the constellation of the Snake. It is noteworthy that the opportunity to see the comet will be almost unique, as it will begin to approach the horizon in the coming days.
