A wedding ceremony in the Urtahisar district of the Trabzon region in the northeast of the country ended in poisoning, Haber Global reports.
According to preliminary data, about 100 guests felt unwell after the pilaf served at the wedding table. All of them had symptoms of food poisoning - nausea, vomiting, and fever.
The poisoned were immediately transported to nearby hospitals and received the necessary medical assistance. Doctors say the patients' condition is currently stable, but some remain under observation.
Local health authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. It is currently being determined which product caused the poisoning.
Samples were also taken from the wedding cooks and service staff, and the food was sent to the laboratory for analysis.
