In the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Christmas garden in Miami, a unique meeting of the two shortest women in the world took place. The Guinness World Records shared the touching and historic moment.
While the shortest woman in the world (height 62.8 cm), Indian Jyoti Amge, was meeting with the garden visitors, she was visited by the shortest girl (height 72 cm) and the shortest professional model, American Wildine Ormeus. Ormeus shared a video and a photo on her social media with the caption: “The two shortest women unite.”
In the published footage, Jyoti is sitting in a festive sleigh, and Wildine approaches her in a wheelchair. The women smile and hug each other. The footage quickly collected thousands of likes. Among those who reacted to the meeting was the tallest woman in the world, Turkish Rumeysa Gelgi, who met Jyoti last year in London. She wrote: “Wow, it finally happened!”
Representatives of the Guinness World Records emphasized that the meeting was “a moment for the history books”: both participants have ICON status in the record book, which is awarded to people whose achievements remain unique and inspiring.
