
The Litres book service, together with the social network "Setka," determined how the profession, position, and income level of Russians are related to their literary habits.
It turns out that department heads read the most books: 18% manage to read five or more books per month, while top managers read an average of three to four books. The majority of Russians read one or two books a month (54%), three or four books a month (15%), and five or more books a month (9%).
Among specialists, marketers and PR managers are leading: 81% of industry representatives admitted that they love to read books. In second place are employees of science and education (79%), in third place - lawyers (73%). Almost everyone's favorite genre is classical literature, but top managers share the first place with business literature (41%).
The study showed that literature truly contributes to career growth: more than 62 percent of department heads and top managers noted that books contributed to career advancement and increased income. Among junior specialists, the impact of training is still not so noticeable.
