In severe cold, Russia's massive strikes on Ukraine have intensified again

In the evening of February 3, another drone attack in the city of Zaporizhzhia killed an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old girl, at least 11 people sought medical attention. It was reported that at least three children were among the victims. The attack coincided with the residential area, creating a scene of burning cars, smoke-covered ruins, and damaged buildings.
At the same time, a dangerous night continued in Kharkiv: according to local reports, missile strikes hit areas near certain districts, and private houses were damaged. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that the coldest days of winter are in the background - in minus temperatures, each blow hits not only infrastructure, but also the daily lives of ordinary people.
The most painful point was again "heat and electricity." NATO leader Mark Rutte, citing the strikes on a heating plant in Kyiv, said it serves to heat 1,100 apartment buildings, and several missiles landed there in one night. He emphasized that such attacks are aimed at increasing "fear and instability" rather than military objectives.
There is also a diplomatic background behind the series of attacks: on the eve of the next talks in Abu Dhabi, when the topic of "not striking the energy sector" is again being discussed, the rear infrastructure is once again becoming a target.
In short, this night is not just a "military chronicle." In severe frosts, on the one hand, heat is needed to survive, and on the other hand, these very heating systems are under pressure. And in this situation, every hour passes with the question - "is there electricity or not," "is there heat or not."
