According to the Washington Post, the drone, allegedly belonging to Iran, targeted the complex of the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
The publication cites two sources and writes that the strike may have been directed at the location of an object related to the activities of the US Central Intelligence Agency.
According to reports, two drones landed on the embassy grounds in Riyadh. The US and Saudi Arabia confirmed the attack, but did not officially comment on the targeting of the intelligence center.
It is noted that the Washington Post assessed this event as a significant outcome for Iran. At the same time, independent confirmation of some aspects of the claims has not been provided.
The US Embassy in Riyadh announced the cancellation of all consular meetings due to the "attack on the facility."
