Permanent residence in the USA: Green Card lottery reopens

The US State Department has announced the start of the 2026 Diversity Visa (DV-2026) - that is, the Green Card lottery process - on April 10. Through this program, participants will have the opportunity to obtain a Green Card, which grants the right to permanent residence in the USA.
Several updated requirements have been introduced in the process of applying for the lottery:
- When applying, a valid passport is required;
- A fee of $1 has been introduced for registration;
- The date of birth must be clearly indicated, not only the age;
- Each participant can submit only one application;
- Repetitive applications lead to automatic disqualification.
The US Green Card lottery is a popular program that provides thousands of participants with the opportunity to live and work permanently in the United States. Therefore, participants must submit applications in a clear and complete form.
