US President Trump instructed the Department of Defense to postpone all military strikes against power plants and energy infrastructure in Iran for five days. He emphasized that this decision depends on the outcome of current diplomatic negotiations and meetings.
According to media outlets near Iran, there were no negotiations with Trump. At the same time, they claim that Trump retreated, fearing a possible retaliatory strike from Iran.
According to the Iranian embassy in Kabul, after a strict warning, Trump abandoned his plans to attack power plants. Ibrahim Rezai, a spokesperson for Iran's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said: "The battle is ongoing... and once again the 'devil' has been defeated." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, however, states that there are no negotiations with Washington and emphasizes that Trump is trying to stabilize the situation in the region.
