Czech diesel prices hit four-year high

Diesel prices in the Czech Republic have hit their highest level in four years. The increase in diesel and petrol prices at the end of this year has led to significant changes in the country's fuel market. A liter of diesel fuel in the Czech Republic is currently selling for an average of 48.39 crowns (less than 2 euros). This is the highest figure in the past four years. Gasoline prices have also risen, and the average price of a liter of Natural 95 petrol is now 41.63 crowns (1.7 euros), the highest level in 3.5 years.

The increase in fuel prices could have a negative impact on the country's economy. The Czech government has decided to take several measures to curb price increases. In particular, the government plans to set profit margins for retailers and reduce the excise tax on diesel fuel.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance has begun setting daily maximum prices for fuel retailers, which will help control prices.
