Italy summons Russian ambassador over Solovyov's statements

The Italian government has summoned the Russian ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following statements made by Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
According to reports, Solovyov made harsh and insulting remarks regarding Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during one of his broadcasts.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani described these statements as serious and unacceptable, expressing a formal protest on behalf of the country. At the same time, he emphasized his full support for Prime Minister Meloni.
According to Italian media, Solovyov used offensive language that went beyond the scope of political criticism. Italian President Sergio Mattarella also sent a letter of support to the Prime Minister regarding the incident.
The event has further intensified diplomatic tensions between the two nations.
