Zyuganov: Kremlin listens to Bonya but ignores deputies

An unexpected and somewhat sarcastic debate has emerged in the Russian political arena. Gennady Zyuganov, leader of the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), questioned the priorities of the Kremlin administration and voiced sharp criticisms from the rostrum of the State Duma. Zamin.uz reports on this political clash and Zyuganov's "revolutionary" warnings.
Bloggers vs. Politicians: Who is the Kremlin listening to?
During a regular session of the State Duma, Gennady Zyuganov expressed deep resentment over the attention paid by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov to famous blogger Victoria Bonya. According to the party leader, the Kremlin responded immediately to statements by Bonya, who currently resides in Monaco, while collective appeals from State Duma deputies have remained unanswered for years.
Zyuganov emphasized that the issues mentioned by the blogger—including the ecological state of Anapa and the necessary aid for the Republics of Dagestan and Chechnya—had actually been raised by the Communist Party long ago, but were ignored.
"Worrying" Forecast for 2026: Is an Economic Crisis Imminent?
The politician placed not only the issue of bloggers but also the country's economic future on the agenda. He stated that economic indicators for the first quarter of 2026 continue to decline, calling this trend extremely dangerous.
Zyuganov issued a serious warning, comparing the current situation to historical events:
"If financial and economic reforms are not implemented immediately, by autumn we may face a social explosion similar to the 1917 revolution. We simply do not have the right to repeat such a tragedy."
Lessons of History and the Kremlin's Position
Recalling the events of 1917, the CPRF leader noted that the then-government's indifference to economic and military problems eventually led to a coup. He called on the authorities to listen to opposition criticism and to unite all forces.
In turn, Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov briefly commented on the situation, stating that Victoria Bonya's appeal "was not ignored." However, for Zyuganov, such an approach represents a violation of priorities in matters of state importance.
Dear readers, do you think the influence of bloggers in solving state problems is becoming stronger than that of deputies? How well-founded are Zyuganov's economic forecasts?
