Cybertruck fails as an apocalypse-ready vehicle

Cybertruck fails as an apocalypse-ready vehicle
Promoted by Elon Musk as an “apocalypse-resistant” vehicle, the Tesla Cybertruck has failed to impress survival experts and professionals. Instead of the promised “invincibility,” the vehicle turned out to be unreliable and unsuitable for extreme conditions.

Despite having an “ultra-strong” steel body, the Cybertruck’s aluminum frame is prone to deformation under heavy load, and the steel components are susceptible to rust. Additionally, the heavy reliance on electronic systems makes the vehicle nearly useless without access to electrical grids.

Survival expert Daisy Luther pointed out that complex technologies require repairs that are impossible to perform in the field, especially after an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). NASA engineer Arthur Bradley also noted that while the body may withstand light firearms, this advantage is overshadowed by major flaws such as battery depletion far from charging stations. The lack of solar panels turns the 480-kilometer battery range into a critical issue.

Competitors like the Rivian R1T, which has proven its durability in hurricane conditions, are overtaking Tesla in the electric vehicle segment designed for survival scenarios. Overall, experts say that in apocalyptic conditions, older, simpler vehicles like classic Jeeps — which can be repaired in the field — are far more preferable.
