Tesla to begin robotaxi testing on June 22

Tesla plans to begin testing its driverless robotaxis on June 22 in Austin, Texas, rozetked.me reported.

During the first phase, 10–20 Model Y electric vehicles equipped with the latest Full Self‑Driving software will operate along pre-set routes. Users will be able to request a ride via an app, and the vehicle will operate without a driver onboard. Remote operators will monitor the system in real time to ensure safety.

A symbolic autonomous ride from the Tesla factory to a customer’s home is scheduled for June 28. This demo is meant to showcase the system’s readiness for full deployment.
