Another important decision aimed at radically improving the transport system in Tashkent has been adopted. On December 4, 2025, Presidential Decree No. PP-368 was approved, which defined new measures to improve transport management in the capital, reduce traffic congestion, and increase the efficiency of public transport.
According to the resolution, public transport is given great priority in the development strategy of the city of Tashkent until 2030. One of the main goals is to bring the level of public transport use of the population to at least 60 percent.
Experts emphasize that the main reason for traffic jams in the capital is the high share of private cars. Increased demand for public transport not only creates convenience, but also serves to improve the environmental situation.
