Chevrolet has officially introduced the Corvette Grand Sport, a new version of the eighth-generation sports car positioned between the standard Stingray and the more extreme Z06. The company describes it as a road-focused model with racing character, and it also serves as the debut platform for GM’s new naturally aspirated 6.7-liter LS6 V8. Reports Autoreview.ru.
The Grand Sport borrows much of its look from the Corvette Z06, including the wider body, aggressive bumpers and quad exhaust layout. Buyers can choose coupe-style targa and roadster versions. Chevrolet also gives the model unique rear graphics, a revised spoiler and optional carbon-fiber aero parts through the Z52 Track Performance package.
Inside, the cabin follows the updated 2025 Corvette layout with a three-screen dashboard and a cleaner center console design. A new Santorini Blue interior theme is available, while the Launch Edition adds red accents and embroidered Corvette silhouettes on the headrests.
The headline change is under the hood. The new 6.7-liter Small Block V8 produces 542 hp and 705 Nm, replacing the previous 6.2-liter LT2 as the base naturally aspirated engine for both Grand Sport and the standard Stingray. Power goes to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a limited-slip differential. Chevrolet also revealed the Grand Sport X hybrid, which replaces the Corvette E-Ray and combines the V8 with a front electric motor for a total output of 731 hp.
Chevrolet has not yet published performance figures, but it confirmed adaptive Magnetic Ride Control dampers as standard on Grand Sport. Buyers can add sport or track packages with upgraded brakes, tires and suspension. Production of the Grand Sport, Grand Sport X and updated Stingray will begin at the Bowling Green plant.
