UzAuto Motors begins deliveries of new Damas models

UzAuto Motors has officially started delivering the new Chevrolet Damas Move and Damas Max, internally known as Damas-3, to its first buyers. The vehicles are being assembled at the company's Pitnak facility in the Khorezm region following a presidential directive. Reports Autostrada.uz.
The new Damas is essentially a rebadged Wuling Hongguang V from China. While it sells for around $6,400 to $8,400 in the Chinese market, the localized Chevrolet version costs between $11,000 and $13,000 in Uzbekistan. The vehicle is offered in a two-seat cargo version called Max and a seven-to-eight-seat passenger version named Move. Buyers can choose between a 1.2-liter or a 1.5-liter Euro-5 engine.
Unlike its predecessor, the new model comes equipped with modern safety and comfort features, including two airbags, ABS, EBD, power steering, and a Bluetooth-enabled radio. Despite the launch of the new generation, UzAuto Motors confirmed that the classic Damas will remain in production.
Coinciding with the release, the company reduced the prices of the older Damas models by 5 million soums across the entire lineup. The price difference between the old and new generations now ranges from 46 to 62 million soums. Currently, customers can only purchase the new Damas by visiting a dealership in person, as online sales are not yet available.
