Ozoda Nursaidova speaks again on the Sabrina case: “I regret working with unreliable people”
Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Ozoda Nursaidova, currently performing her concert program at the “Friendship of Peoples” Palace of Arts, once again commented on the tragic incident that occurred during the filming of her music video. She emphasized that working with unprofessional and irresponsible people never brings creative success.

“The person who started it all — who put that girl into the ‘Gelik’ — now says he wasn’t there, didn’t know anything. But I was the first to take the blame, while he stood there clapping, pretending nothing happened. I’ve concluded that I will never let people without clear skills or experience near me again,” said Ozoda.

“You can’t make art with careless, random people”

Nursaidova noted that she will now be more selective about who she works with. In her view, people who stumble into the world of art without discipline and responsibility can be not just useless, but dangerous.

“Such people should never be trusted. Art is responsibility, a profession, and honest work. We’ve suffered because of people with no clear path,” she added.

Reminder: details of the incident

On May 15, a court in Tashkent's Mirzo-Ulugbek district began hearings on the incident involving actress Sabrina Jabborova. During filming of Ozoda’s video for the song “Dilbarim,” a 16-year-old actress driving a “Gelik” hit Sabrina.

After a failed surgery in Tashkent, Sabrina's leg became shortened. Following her story going viral online, volunteers raised 367 million soms for her treatment. She later had a second operation in Istanbul and is now able to walk properly again.
