New Spider-Man Animated Movie Release Delayed Again

New Spider-Man Animated Movie Release Delayed Again
The popular animated franchise by American studio Sony — “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” — has changed its release date once more. Instead of the previously announced June 4, 2027, the movie is now scheduled to premiere on June 25.

Why was it delayed?
The creators cite high-quality standards and a complex animation process as reasons. Reportedly, the previous installment was completed just hours before the premiere.

Franchise Brief History
The first film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, released in 2018, won an Oscar. Its sequel, released in 2023, was also a commercial success — both parts together earned over 1 billion dollars.

What’s the plot?
In the new installment, Miles Morales ends up in a parallel universe where he meets a violent version of himself, and where Spider-Man does not exist at all. This film is expected to deliver one of the most emotional and visually powerful conclusions of the franchise.

Creative Team
Directors — Bob Persichetti and Justin Thompson; writers — Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham. This team has previously showcased high-level work through past installments.

Fun Fact
Soon, Hollywood star Nicolas Cage will portray Spider-Man in a noir-style animated series. The first teaser has already been released.

Another Film on the Way
Another new Spider-Man movie is expected to hit screens in 2026. Until then, more information about the main cast is planned to be announced.
