Euronews brings “Andijan Polka” to the world stage

The national dance art specific to Andijan is gaining recognition on the international arena. The regional tourism department and one of Europe’s reputable TV channels — Euronews — plan to film the famous “Andijan Polka” dance and present it to a global audience.

The “Andijan Polka,” distinguished by its cheerful rhythms and folk melodies, has for centuries been an inseparable part of celebrations and wedding ceremonies.

This initiative will serve to further promote our national dances on the world stage and to introduce the rich cultural heritage of Andijan to the international community.
